The PRI’s research structure is neither disciplinary nor primarily divided into siloed departments. However, to enable our audience to navigate our research scope, throughout a painful process, we organized our research directions into four departments, all oriented around the unifying concept of “planetary resilience.” Our transdisciplinary experts work across departments with no limitations or scope boundaries when addressing research questions.
We speak the language of complexity science to ensure seamless communication and shared terminology.
Accordingly, PRI defines four departments: 1 dedicated to tools, frameworks, methods, and methodology, and the remaining 3 are the thematic frontiers through which planetary resilience can be understood, examined, and realized.
