PRI’s advocacy is premised on the recognition that technical solutions alone are insufficient to address systemic planetary challenges. Structural change requires normative shifts in values, governance, economics, and collective behavior. PRI therefore pursues advocacy at the conceptual, institutional, and monitoring fronts.
PRI advocates three concepts. We are also developing a suite of global monitoring indices designed to make planetary pressure and state accountability quantifiable, transparent, and actionable for policymakers and civil society.
